Postby Dr Zoidberg » Mon May 07, 2012 8:06 pm

Peterson apparently has failed a drug test

Hope this is a mistake, was looking forward to this fight.

What a shame - I was looking forward to this. No idea what they will do now.

What's funny, is I heard Peterson was the one who wanted random testing.

Ask for drug testing - fail drug test - hold on to title longer.

I'm not that surprised actually. He looked gigantic at the weight v Khan.
I hope we shall crush… in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.

Given the liberal nature of US drug testing, I wouldn't be surprised if the fight goes ahead.

http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/79 ... ne-pellets

According to this, Peterson had been taking the testosterone pellets since before the first fight in December! This is just bad, bad, bad.

The fight is off. I wonder if the result of the first fight will be changed in any way.

Khan's reaction with ES.

- Peterson should be banned. Permanently.
- New fight, June 30th.
- Jones Jr. 'Khan's the only fighter who could trouble Mayweather'.

Interesting. Peterson's no different, potentially worse, than Margarito.

His (alleged) cheating puts a new spin on the Khan bout. Both in terms of Khan's excellent performance and the controversy surrounding the scoring and result. With this, and the freak show, Boxing's some kind of soap-opera at the moment.

I agree Brazen. Imagine if he had done some serious damage to Khan? That whole first fight seems odd on so many levels now. This could have been a really good few weeks for boxing with the Cotto/Mayweather fight, Khan/Peterson and Pacman/Bradley, but all of this leaves a bad taste.

Khan's speed could trouble PBF, but Khan seems too open for a class operator like Mayweather.
