Natural sports drink

i was given this recipe and i wanted to share it with you guys:

1 Lemon
1tspn of NATURAL Maple Syrup or honey
1 cup of water or more
A pinch of salt

this was given to me by my trainer, he drinks it and said it's good, i tasted it and it was pretty good, just wanted to share it with you guys

I make a similar drink but I'll mix up the fruit with a lime, an orange or a grapefruit instead of the lemon. I have read that you have you juice and consume the juice immediatly for some reason. I think it has to do with the juice oxidizing

That recipe almost sounds like one that people use during a cleanse. All they consume for the duration of the cleanse is that particular drink. I think it usually lasts over a week.
