Try contacting Ross directly. I am confident he might know someone since he lives in CT and CT and NY is pretty much neighbors. Granted his part of CT is a good distance from NY, again I am sure he might know a person or more.

Mendez is great, I used to train there. I've also heard good things about Arden Sweet Science.

scroll 5 or 10 y ears of the ny golden gloves. nymetro boxing results. The same names keep coming up, priorities the last three years and you'll see who you have in your gym with you. They may get a lot of attention so going with the school that doesn't have the last 3 years dominated might mean more attention. Inquire about loss of coaches or any other event that might have shaped the recent future of the club for better or worse.

The best isn't going to have time walking in the door for a newb. You don't need the best you need someone available.
Look for an assistant to the best.
