I gave up on this. BTW what revolver isn't terrible on double action? Unless you go hammer-less it's going to be tough squeeze. I just like it for fun and looks. I wouldn't do double-action, well maybe I would do it once just to see, but when I shoot revolvers I always cock the hammer back, aim, and fire.

But again this has become such a PITA that I gave up. In fact, I just modified my 92F and got a Crossbreed holster, and I need to clean-up my Ruger 10/22 and that would be that. Unless I have a reason to carry I probably won't be buying a new gun anytime soon if ever.

I would love a 22 revolver but Smith and Wesson prices and quality these days are unappealing so what other choices?

There are a ton of choices. Rimfire can list them.

Ruger has a good reputation for ruggedness. They offer several DA/SA and SAO rimfire models.

I haven't shot my Ruger 10/22 or my Beretta 92F in months. I have no business buying another gun.
