Sandbag shoulder carries w/ Kettlebell suitcase carry

Postby brickmasonjoe » Mon May 08, 2017 5:45 am

Anyone ever do these at the same time.. I do carries for up to 12 minutes (depending on weight of bag)... 6 minutes bear hug or zercher and 3 minutes each shoulder.... I one day realized my other arm was doing nothing so I put a kettebell in there..... Started with a 35lbs for the past month, now I started with the 55lbs and will probably bounce back and forth between the two..

Anyone else do these?

Not quite but I do Rail Sleep carries on one shoulder for distance - I find it works the core muscles a treat and certainly feels good. Fighting against the 'crush' seems to be a good thing for posture. At least for me.

It does.... Sometimes it is so hard to breath but I just work through it. Especially when I first started doing carries.... Now its a lot easier to breath. '

Just goes to show you, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I,ve been thinking a little on this and had a bit of an old school relevation.

I was thinking its very similar to the Hise Shoulder Shrug - more of a breathing and power exercise then anything.
